About the role

The assembly manufacturing technician is responsible troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This position works closely with the engineering and production teams to solve daily production issues and implement long term corrective actions. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and PLC systems.

On a daily basis, the individual will be involved with troubleshooting manufacturing issues on the shop floor. The individual will be responsible for evaluating existing assembly processes and working with engineers and outside suppliers to improve equipment performance and reliability. The individual will participate in continuous improvement projects and work with a diverse highly skilled team including design engineers, quality engineers, maintenance and production.

Compensation: $30-$40

What you will be doing

  • · Implement equipment improvements on semi and fully automated equipment

    · Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues on various types of equipment

    · Troubleshoot control systems which include PLC’s, HMI’s, sensors and cameras

    · Evaluate and identify faults and safety hazards on existing equipment

    · Participation in improvement activities as part of multi-disciplined team

    · Support manufacturing assembly lines to achieve quality, delivery and cost requirements

    · Assist in specifying and purchasing new automated assembly equipment

About you

  • · Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role, with a strong focus on automated equipment

    · Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    · Experience with industrial and collaborative robots

    · Familiarity with PLC programming

    · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and electrical wire diagrams

    · Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively

    · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required

    · Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
