Job Summary:

As a CNC Turning Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision parts based on customer specifications. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained while meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC turning lathe machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
  • Program and adjust CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to tooling, speeds, and feeds as necessary.
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are followed at all times.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in CNC machining preferred.
  • Minimum of [3] years of experience operating CNC lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and machine setup.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Prior experience with CNC turning or milling is a plus.
