As a project manager on the Operations Accounting team, you will be responsible for driving and managing projects and business initiatives. You’ll provide project leadership through all phases of planning and implementation of deliverables, and actively identify, develop and implement continuous improvements to ensure business requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful
- Partner with assigned business partners, IT and Operations Accounting to identify opportunities and related system requirements needed to support ongoing operations and department priorities and new business initiatives
- Coordinate activities across business units and/or with vendors to facilitate successful implementation of projects; effectively taking into consideration business risk, financial impact and workflow needed to ensure accurate financial data
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal and external business partners/leaders at all levels to ensure alignment between business objectives and project deliverables
- Communicate and present project updates to senior leadership; coordinate project activities with business units and external vendors, scheduling and facilitating team meetings to keep the project moving
- Prioritize and influence work of others based on project plan and allocate resources necessary to accomplish goals
- Act as the single-point person for all systems-related work for the department, partnering with IT to lead enhancements, troubleshoot issues and create/rollout consistent and efficient processes
- Use expertise and knowledge to drive systems innovation internally and externally and partner with vendors to complete beta testing prior to system rollout
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset and lead initiatives that will proactively prevent issues from re-occurring while driving performance and efficiencies across Operations Accounting systems
- Develop project plans, goals, and budgets; identify resources needed, develop schedules and methods for measuring results
- Monitor progress throughout life of the project, ensure projects are on time and within budget and that operational and systems workflow are seamless and meet end-user needs
Requirements
- 3 or more years of Project Managment in Accounting
- ?Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance or Business
- Ability to communicate complex, technical information in a simplified manner
- Systems aptitude

- Experience managing and developing others
- SAP experience
