This role is in our Williamson, NY facility.
We are currently hiring for 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am).
Starting hourly rate is $20.00/hour+ (dependent on experience) with a shift differential of $0.75/hour for 2nd shift & $1.50/hour 3rd shift.
These are direct hire roles, eligible for our fantastic benefits package (see below) the first of the month following your start date.
Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation. This location is not on a bus route.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will help to ensure an efficient and safe, transportation and storage of food ingredients, packaging, and finished product by:
- Driving forklifts to load, unload, and, store food products, equipment, or other materials.
- Operating forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner by following the BRF safety procedures.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures, Bills of Lading, and Pick Lists.
- Inputting transactions in SAP to update inventory.
- Assisting as assigned in the organization and cleaning of docks, rack storage areas, and facility.
- Highly technical operation required as some areas of facility have close spacing
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- A minimum of one-year of forklift operation experience
- Minimum of six months of continuous experience in a manufacturing or industrial food production facility and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift License preferred but not required, will certify.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Effectively read the Standard Operating Procedures, Bills of Lading, and Pick Lists, which are written in the English language, and complete associated paperwork. Fluently read and write in English language to ensure paperwork and record keeping is completed to SQF standards.
- Be able to accurately follow directions, work effectively in teams, and contribute a positive attitude each day.
- Work in a manufacturing environment, which includes fluctuation in heat, moisture and noise.
- Wear Food Manufacturing GMP Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - hard hat, hairnet (head and beard if applicable), steel toes shoes/boots, face mask
At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
