JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer

LOCATION: Rochester, NY

DEPARTMENT/OFFICE: Operations

SALARY RANGE: $77,000+

FLSA: Exempt

SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to the manufacture of medical devices using confocal imaging technology. This role will have the responsibility of data collection and analysis, manufacturing technologies, and ensuring efficient and secure storage of data.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Including, but not limited to:

  • Play a key role in all phases of the product development cycle which includes requirement/definition, design and development, verification (such as unit tests) and traceability matrix, and transfer.
  • Responsible for the design and development of Digital/Analog circuits.
  • Accountable for electromechanical packaging with implementation from concept through production.
  • Responsible for component specification, schematic design, bill of materials, and engineering change orders.
  • Participate in the high-level architecture and design of electronic systems.
  • Provide technical oversight and review support to development teams during product design and development.
  • Perform functional checks and test products to ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Responsible for all design reviews and milestones against schedule and marketing requirements.
  • Maintain and update the design history file for electronic design to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 + years of experience in digital/analog design for manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience with PCB schematic capture and layout.
  • Knowledge and experience in FPGA design.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with embedded processor design.
  • Familiar with motor control design.
  • Experience with Altium, KiCad, ISE, and/or Vivado
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Must occasionally move up to 20 lbs.
