Job Summary
The Patient Service Technician provides support to patient service departments. He/She safely transports patients to and from service areas, and utilizes established communication tools such as the Ticket to Ride during patient transports. Performs EKG tracings, retrieves and delivers documents, supplies, equipment, specimens, and assist nursing personnel with other direct and indirect patient care activities. Actively participates as team member in unit, departmental, and organizational activities as assigned. Cleans and redistributes transport equipment such as wheelchairs and stretchers to the appropriate units.
