POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Safety maneuver tractor trailers between LiDestri facilities and/or on LiDestri property

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transport product between facilities utilizing tractor trailers;
  • Perform yard checks and move empty trailers throughout lot;
  • Apply security mechanisms (i.e. glad hands) and ensure trailers are properly seal to prevent theft and contamination;
  • Maybe required to assist with maneuvering the railcar;
  • Certified to operate lifts;
  • Assist with Shipping/Receiving needs or performing other warehouse duties, as time allows;
  • Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Must possess a valid CDL-A license and possess a current, valid DOT physical;
  • Previous experience with shipping/receiving paperwork;
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots);
  • Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning;
  • Previous experience as a CDL-A driver.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:

  • Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
  • Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
  • Lifting/carrying <50 pounds
  • Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
