Function of Position:
Learning Resources supports both students and faculty with technology instruction and learning. Part time professionals are front line support for services for the Monroe Community College Student Technology HelpDesk.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Functions
Assists in the operations of the Library, Learning Commons, Student Technology Help Desk. Create and maintain support tickets and follow-through to resolution.Assist students with questions concerning classroom related software, Brightspace, 3rd party software, 3rd party online course systems, registering for classes, accessing online Financial Aid documents and Registration events.Perform and assist students with Account Setup, Password Resets and Changes, Alumni Banner resets, email access and troubleshooting, account look up and installation of Academic Software on laptops and tablets.Answer and respond to phone calls, voicemails, and e-mails received at the Student Technology Help desk.Fix tier one and tier two laptop issues, including malware and virus removal, installation of 3rd party software required for classes. Troubleshooting, installation and general software errors.Assist students to connect to the campus wireless network (Wi-Fi) on tablets, e-readers, phones and laptops.Assist students with setting up and utilizing Zoom application. Troubleshoot Zoom issuesAssist students in connecting their student email account to their phones and tablets apps.Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director - Learning ResourcesMCC Expectations:

Additional Information:
Salary: Hourly rate of $18.00.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 12:30 pm; 17.5 hours weekly.
