Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for an Outside Plant Technician. Our client is an expert in providing technology and security solutions to the public safety, education and healthcare industries. They have been serving their clients for almost 30 years.
As an Outside Plant Technician you will utilize your telecommunications background with fiber optic cabling OSP construction and/or design for both aerial and underground cable placement.

Perform Site Assessments to determine project scope and budgets

Review and document outside plant network facilities

Field audits of utility poles identifying service providers and cable types (e.g., CATV, COAX cable, Fiber cable, copper cable,), hardware, span lengths and attachment heights

Records verification

General documents preparation and data entry
-
Creating work order construction prints
-
Write reports
-
Perform field site meets; meet with developers, customers, local agencies, and other utility providers

Conduct field inspections fiber optic installations to verify compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations

Review and confirm designs and specifications meet what is current or being installed in field

AutoCAD & VISIO drawing production

Project estimating

Bid/RFP technical support, development and administration
