JOB TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

LOCATION: Rochester, NY

DEPARTMENT/OFFICE: Warehouse

SALARY RANGE: $21.00-$25.00/hour

FLSA: Non-exempt, hourly

SUMMARY:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator at CALIBER I.D. plays a vital role in managing the shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and materials. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Including, but not limited to:

Shipping:

· Coordinate outbound shipments of finished products, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation.

· Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork for international shipments.

· Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries and track shipment status.

· Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements and export controls.

· Working with customs brokers on imports and exports, including completion of commercial invoices.

Receiving:

· Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.

· Inspect received materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.

· Ensure accurate recording of receiving transactions in inventory management systems and maintain proper documentation.

Inventory Management:

· Maintain accurate inventory records of received materials, finished products, and supplies.

· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels.

· Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain organized records of shipping and receiving activities, including shipping logs, receiving reports, and inventory records.

· Generate reports on shipping and receiving performance metrics, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and shipment costs.

· Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on shipping and receiving activities and any issues or concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*:

· High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

· 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and inventory management software.

· Knowledge of shipping regulations, requirements, and export controls.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

· Able to move up to 50 lbs.
