Primary Job Expectations:
To ensure the efficient operation of warehouse activities, focusing on maximizing space, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring inventory accuracy. This role involves assisting in daily operations, tracking incoming and outgoing items, supporting project managers and foremen, and providing accurate records to customer care specialists.
- Space Optimization: Efficiently organize and maintain warehouse space to maximize usability and workflow.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items as needed while communicating effectively with team members to ensure safety and operational effectiveness.
- Communication: Collaborate with project managers and foremen to manage schedules and provide clarity on items leaving or staying in storage.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Organized Operations: Keeping the warehouse organized so that field staff can quickly locate the tools and items needed to ensure a helpful co-worker environment and positive customer experience.
Duties and Tasks:
- Offload inbound machinery for customer jobs and load machinery for delivery.
- Efficiently manage pallet movement and optimize space within the warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory checks of machinery and materials, reconcile variances, and log accurate records using asset tracking systems like Zuper.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and external areas, including sweeping, dusting, and logging tools in the tool crib.
- Assist with loading and unloading machinery and materials using forklifts and other equipment.
- Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and customer service specialists to coordinate work orders and inventory.
- Ensure safety and maintenance of all tools, equipment, and warehouse facilities, complying with OSHA standards where applicable.
- Support compliance with safety protocols and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
- Assist team members with the relocation and organization of machinery and materials.
- Provide accurate billing and record-keeping support by ensuring proper inventory and documentation of customer equipment.
Education & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- At least one year of experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Fork Truck Certification preferred
- Crane Signaling and OSHA 10 Hour certification preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Zuper, Hubspot, and Outlook)
