This internship is an opportunity for MCC students interested in pursuing a career in banking and learning more about the industry. Students will learn the fundamentals of banking and gain exposure to career paths within ESL Federal Credit Union. Interns work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 32-40 hours during the summer.  Interested individuals must also be able to attend full time training from January 6-January 17, 2025.

Pay:

$16.88/hr

Program Details

Students will begin their internship working as a Teller. This role is responsible for providing a superior member experience; they efficiently process transactions and achieve referral sales goals by identifying member needs for additional financial products.

With good performance, students will be assigned new challenges in the branches and/or at our Corporate Headquarters to expose them to new roles and/or other areas of the business. Professional skill development and exposure to career paths will occur throughout the program.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) at Monroe Community College (MCC) in Spring 2025
  • Major in business administration and accounting preferred. Other related majors will also be considered.
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above each semester
  • Be able to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • People and team oriented
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Maintains a high degree of flexibility in support of branch needs
