As a Nurse (LPN) in Hemodialysis, your specialized skill set and ability to collaborate with the Registered Nurse is vital to exceptional patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care & Evaluation. Conduct a thorough assessment of each patient’s medical status upon admission and throughout the patient’s course of treatment; provide regular patient status updates
• Treatment Administration. Assist in the implementation of the patient’s treatment plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN); initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments using multiple access sites; administer IVP medications to dialysis patients
• Documentation. Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner

  Key Responsibilities:

  • The LPN working in Hemodialysis responsibilities include application/mastery of skills in area of specialization, guidance and general oversight to less experienced employees; may train new employees. The duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex issues, patient cases or technical skills.
    
  • Conducts and documents a thorough assessment of each patient’s medical status upon admission and throughout the patient’s course of treatment.
    
  • Assists in the implementation of the patient’s treatment plan under the direction of the RN.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $26.50 - $32.50
