Seasonal Laborer - Highway

Responsibilities:

The duties include a wide range of services for the Highway Department including:

• road and drainage work
• brush clean up
• asphalt work
• directing traffic
• leaf pickup
• mailbox repair
• picking up deceased animals

Requirements:

• This position requires the use of hand tools as well as some power tools.
• Proper use of safety equipment and a valid NYS Driver's license is required.
• This position is required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Hours:

The position is 40 hours per week with normal working hours from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

There will be longer working days required during leaf season and there may be longer hours during snow and ice operations.

Pay Rate:

Entry level rate for this position is $18.10/hour.
