L3Harris is looking for a Sr. Manager to join our Procurement team at our Jefferson Road Operations Center. In this role you will plan and implement activities related to the procurement of materials, goods and services in compliance with regulatory requirements. This position will have buyers as direct reports as well as lower level manager(s) and their team(s).

Essential Functions:

  • Sustain success metrics (Delivery, Cost, Lead Time, Inventory, Quality, Compliance, etc), incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements.
  • Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.
  • Facilitate weekly team Gemba meetings, Critical Shortage Reviews, Supplier Flawless Execution Calls, 1:1 meetings with direct reports, and Linearity meetings with the Sector President.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience purchasing parts and/or services in a medium to high volume environment.
  • History of having direct reports and executive level reporting.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Government and Commercial Contracting/Subcontracting managing supplier performance in the areas of technical scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Engineering or Technical Background
  • Experience engaging with suppliers and analyzing suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • MRP Experience, Agile configuration
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Cost analysis and negotiation experience
  • Experience and understanding of product specifications, statements of work (SOW), and terms and conditions
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Global sourcing experience

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $103,000 - $191,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
