- Manages individual(s) typically consisting of experienced professionals or lower-level supervisors or associate managers.
- Leads, directs and reviews the work of direct report(s) who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with management review and approval.
- Reports to Senior Operations Manager or higher.
- Communicates with our cross functional teams within the organization such as Planning, Engineering, Quality and support teams
- Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area. May develop new concepts or standards.
- Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area.
- Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation. Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function.
- Provides measurable input of new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 9 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in Operations Management.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Able to apply a continuous improvement mindset to procedures and processes.
- Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with impact on department results.
- Understands management and lean approaches and has practical knowledge of job area.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
