The Sr. Specialist Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining product quality and ensuring process integrity. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS), maintaining our ISO and AQAP certifications, performing contract and proposal reviews, performing GIDEP reviews, leading CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) investigations, analyzing data for FRACAS reporting.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across production, engineering, programs, and supply chain to promote a unified quality approach throughout the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maintaining TCOM Quality Management System. Using audits, corrective actions and interactions with process owners, you will update existing or create new processes within our QMS.
- Organize annual ISO and AQAP audits to maintain our certifications. As part of the team, you will help create the audit schedule and assume responsibility for a portion of the listed audits with our external registrars.
- Organize annual internal audit schedule. As part of the team, you will help create the internal audit schedule and assume responsibility for 2-3 audits each quarter across our QMS to probe the accuracy of our system.
- Provide support to the Business through contract reviews, GIDEP reviews, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) investigations, FRACAS reporting, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in Quality Engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Previous experience creating/maintaining a Quality Management System
- Certified Auditor or prior auditing experience
- Familiarity with government, military and industry standards
- Familiarity with 8D corrective action process
- Familiarity with Failure Analysis and FRACAS reporting
- Self-directed
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to lead teams to successful resolution of issues
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $82,500 - $153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
