Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Schedules and performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses, and troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures. Prepares reports on inspection findings and ensures proper vehicle maintenance to comply with prescribed safety regulations. Develops design specifications for vehicle requisitions. May negotiate vehicle and/or equipment purchase terms in coordination with the procurement function.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains and manages the Parking operation fleet vehicles, including scheduling, delivery logistics, and record management in collaboration with the University Auto Shop.
- Assists in coordinating and monitoring contractors during work on parking equipment, structures, and surface lots. Coordinates schedules with internal departments and external vendors, manages shutdown and interruption notifications, and handles administrative duties, such as training and documentation.
- Performs general repairs on parking structures, surface lots, and roadways, including sign installation and repair, asphalt repair, line striping, conduit pathway installation and repair, and vehicle induction loops maintenance.
- Conducts safety and preventive maintenance inspections on moderately complex electronic parking access and revenue generating equipment. Ensures operational status and compliance with manufacturer's and industry technical standards.
- Troubleshoots and repairs moderately complex electronic equipment essential to parking operations, such as parking gates, access control systems, CCTV cameras, network intercom devices, network switches, and complex two-way radio systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma 3 years of relevant experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
