GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position serves as Program Manager and CCP Co-Manager as well as subject matter expert on HIV prevention, sexual health and/or LGBTQ+ health. This Manager position will manage assigned program(s) funded by state and federal grants or other sponsors and supervise professional program staff of educators and public health specialists, and provide education and training and technical assistance services. The position will represent assigned CCP programs in sponsor-organized meetings, community events and conferences, monitors program workplan activities and compliance, and ensure high quality service delivery.
This individual functions under general guidance and with considerable latitude for independent judgment. This individual is required to independently manage each funder-requested project as well as provide the requested professional consultative services, including developing and delivering curriculum and training workshops. This individual must be technology savvy with digital educational tools, and able to multi-task and simultaneously manage multiple projects and requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and supervises a team of senior health project specialists and health educators in the development and provision of professional education and consultative services, with scope of work involving national, regional, or state-wide projects and the provision of a variety of curriculum development, training deliveries, and technical consultative services to state/jurisdiction health departments, health care organizations, and public health and health care workforce in the US.
Serves as CCP Co-Manager and manages, monitors, and problem-solves training and technical assistance center day-to-day operations, including educational program delivery, quality assurance, facilities, staffing, budget review, resource allocation and assignment, and supporting center director with program implementation, performance management and administrative responsibilities including but not limited to competitive grant applications, center growth and sustainability planning, special projects and initiatives, facilities and operation management, policy and procedures monitoring and compliance.
Prepares and submits grant reports, prepares grant applications, responds to funder requests and program compliance site reviews.
Provides program oversight for assigned grant programs, performs quality assurance/ improvement activities and supports mentorship to professional staff on the design and implementation of educational content and deliveries based on evidence-based approaches and strategies.
Serves as the Program Manager of federal and/or state-funded program(s), manages the development of new projects and/or products/curriculum for use in the provision of professional educational and consultative services in the HIV/STD/VH areas, including maintaining on-going communications with funder contact(s) and represents CCP on funder mandated committee meetings and attend funder-required meetings, as well as at events for promotional and networking purposes.
Serves as subject matter expert on various HIV/STI/VH prevention and sexual health topics and develops educational contents and materials, and provides education and training of evidence-based interventions for healthcare professionals within New York and in the US.
Leads assigned program projects from planning, assessment, implementation, coordination, delivery and evaluation of professional consultative services, requiring the maintenance of a high level of detailed knowledge and expertise in several fields including communicable diseases, HIV/STD/VH prevention, evidence-based public health practice, and in the use of HIV/STD/VH evidence-based behavioral and biomedical interventions, culturally responsive services consistent with changes in national and state public health policy and program guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires a Bachelor+s degree with major course work in an appropriate health, social or technical field and preferred in nursing, clinical social work, education, allied health, or social/behavioral science field, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Master+s degree in Public Health or Nursing preferred.
Position prefers 7-10 years of program experience in fields including evidence-based public health practice, communicable disease, including HIV/STD/VH clinical care and prevention, and evidence-based biomedical and behavioral science interventions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer experience in project management and working in collaborations with government agencies, statewide or national organizations. Program evaluation experience and familiarity with databases and statistical analysis desirable. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities a plus.
Effective professional writing skills, problem solving, interpersonal communication skills, group facilitation skills and cultural competency preferred.
Able to manage competing priorities and function independently. Able to take initiative, demonstrate resourcefulness and commitment to follow through and ensure timely completion of high-quality work preferred.
Requires 20-25% travel within NYS and out of state.
