POSITION OVERVIEW: This role is a safety-sensitive, frontline supervisory position within the Safety Department. The primary responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining the video systems for property and bus surveillance, downloading footage upon request for both internal and external stakeholders, reviewing video content, sharing findings, and offering technical support as needed. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing the access control systems for Authority properties. The work is conducted under the direct supervision of the Manager of Field Operations.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, and as needed on off-hours

COMPENSATION: Starting wage rate will be determined by the Company in accordance with experience and qualifications. Minimum rate of $27.09/hr.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

BUS VIDEO:

  • Manage and maintain the main March Networks Command Enterprise Server (CES). 
  • Controls system-wide health of the CES as well as managing users and access privileges.
  • Works with March Networks to facilitate software and firmware updates.
  • Manage and maintain the March Networks Command Media Archiver (CMA).
  • Sets videos to be downloaded based on requests from internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to remove old videos from the Archiver.
  • Manage DVR/NVR System Health and Notifications via daily emails and alerts.
  • Coordinate with Communication and Fare Collection Systems Supervisor to repair or replace malfunctioning equipment including cameras, recorders, and hard drives. 
  • Assist internal and external persons with video review and analysis.
  • Facilitate video review for weekly Accident Review Committee meetings.
  • Provide software support and upgrades for workstations and servers.
  • Work with Information Technology Department on networking and downloading of data issues.
  • Provide technical support for video equipment on the new bus procurement team.
  • Required to travel to regional locations as needed to support bus video maintenance and downloads at those locations. 

PROPERTY VIDEO:

  • Manage and maintain FLIR/Latitude Video Management Servers (VMS) for all fixed and property cameras.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Admin Center of FLIR to program cameras, set user rights and privileges, software upgrades, system health, license management, and archiver assignments.
  • Manage and maintain FLIR/Latitude Property Archiver Servers.
  • Fulfill property video requests that come in through the OS Ticket System and assist internal and external persons with viewing video as needed.
  • Assist IT with client and end user support, including software upgrades on servers and workstations.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning or offline cameras and work with Building and Grounds Technicians to replace cameras as needed.
  • Work with Engineering Department to design camera layouts for new building construction projects.
  • Manage license and SSA agreements with FLIR.
  • Required to travel to regional locations as needed to support property video maintenance and downloads at those locations. 

ACCESS CONTROL:

  • Manage and maintain the C-Cure System servers including upgrades on servers and workstations.
  • Program badge access for employees and design clearances for specific access needs.
  • Work with Johnson Controls to install new card readers and repair existing ones.
  • Replace and program door controllers.
  • Manage and program the Intellikey system.
  • Provide employee access history and set door schedules for special events.
  • Operate access control/life safety systems.
  • Coordinate incident response with Radio Control and Dispatch at RTS.
  • Communications with security and police detail 24/7.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Prepare, track, and execute spending of Camera Repair Budget.
  • Work with external parts vendor for part orders of new equipment.
  • Manage warranty and RMA returns for camera parts and recorders.
  • On call for after-hours video requests.
  • Manage OS Ticket System for video requests, work with requestors to get additional information as needed, close tickets once video has been downloaded and delivered.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience working with and repairing electronics including cameras and DVR's.
  • Supervisory experience or commensurate educational training.
  • Good verbal and writing skills and a clear speaking voice.
  • Ability to show discretion in judgment.
  • Motivated individual able to work independently with well-organized work habits.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • The successful candidate must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License within (6) months from the date of hire.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components. Occasionally lifts and transports objects such as camera equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may occasionally be required to travel commercially.
