About the role

Build, repair and service Stamping and/or Die Cast molds.

Compensation: $27.00-$37.00

Plus 10% Shift Differential

What you will be doing

  • Under supervision, build, repair, maintain, and modify simpler dies, molds, machines, tools, and tooling for production departments
  • Work with senior Toolmakers on various assigned projects
  • Communicate and improvise when necessary tools or equipment are not available
  • Perform simpler assignments in the field of model making, gage making, and machine building
  • Work from prints, sketches, CAD drawings or verbal instructions
  • Keep abreast of all the latest developments and advances made within the trade
  • Purchase and maintain all the personal tools necessary to perform the above-described duties
  • Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.

About you

  • High School Diploma or equivalency 
  • Tool and Die Apprenticeship or equivalent work experience 
  • Able to lift up to 33lbs
  • Good mechanical ability 
  • Knowledge of metrics, shop trigonometry, and geometry 
  • Able to read/understand blueprints 
  • Capable of operating all Tool Room machinery  
  • Safety and Quality Conscious 
  • Basic P.C. Knowledge to navigate business systems including CAD/CAM as necessary
