Description

We’re looking for a Materials Manager in our Finance Team who will play the lead role in overseeing our inventory and supply chain. They will manage vendor relationships, analyze and assist in forecasting supply needs, coordinate with internal and external construction partners and drive efficiency and accountability in our processes.

You’ll be doing:

  • Manage and evaluate suppliers for construction and customer premise materials.
  • Implement and execute effective procurement processes across mid-Atlantic regions served by Greenlight.
  • Analyze material needs, partnering with Finance department to regularly, and accurately, forecast future material needs.
  • Monitor and report on inventories, product availability and lead times against demand to ensure appropriate levels of stock.
  • Establish efficient contingency plans by regularly assessing risks, mitigants, and costs.
  • Partner with internal and external construction resources to monitor materials usage throughout project life cycles.
  • Monitor industry trends affecting material availability.
  • Review and assess alternative products and vendors; negotiate favorable pricing and contract terms to the benefit of the Company; monitor contract compliance.
  • Partner with Operational leaders to identify key metrics and develop relevant reporting.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Purchasing functions to manage all Company inventory and materials; including those at 3rd party locations.
  • Purchase, manage inventory, work with internal customers and external vendors to procure optimal levels of equipment maintenance supplies, some office related supplies, and other ancillary supplies and materials as assigned.
  • Prepare and present executive level information on materials management performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years experience in materials management, purchasing, supply chain or related roles.
  • Local and Regional travel required frequently.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to self-check own work with attention to accuracy; innate big picture sensibility when required.
  • Excellent vendor relationship management skills along with proven, and principled, vendor negotiation ability.
  • Strong desire to be on a high growth, winning team and work side by side with passionate, purposeful people; naturally curious.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization and externally.
  • Self-starter and finisher; proven experience taking significant initiative.
  • Work independently with appropriate allocation of time management and organization.
  • Detail oriented, coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Highest ethical and professional conduct.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in telecommunications a plus.

Salary:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The annual salary for this role is between $76,000 – $95,000. The actual annual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
