Job Summary
Associate Teachers at Margaret’s House provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for social and academic growth for the children in our care. They supervise the daily activities of the children in the classroom and develop a program that meets their needs and promotes age-appropriate development.
Qualified candidates are eligible for $1,000 signing bonus upon hire.

- Patience, compassion, responsibility, strong organizational skills
- Associate's degree in early childhood education (or equivalent field) or Child Development Associate Credential plus 1 year of classroom experience. OR
- Child Development Associate credential; or other Office-recognized credential AND two years of experience related to caring for children OR
- 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field, with a plan of study leading to a Child Development Associate credential or Associates degree AND two years’ experience related to caring for children

Department/College Description
Margaret's House is RIT's centrally located, on-campus child care center. We provide quality care and early childhood education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers during the academic year and throughout the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am-6:00pm and our calendar coordinates with the RIT academic schedule. The staff at Margaret's House are employees of RIT and are educated and experienced in the field of early childhood education.
