Function of Position:
The Business Administration Department seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track teaching position with expertise in Management Information Systems, beginning August 25, 2025.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaches a mix of general business and Management Information Systems courses that address the fundamentals of: - MIS,
- Business operations,
- Information systems,
- Database architecture and development,
- Object-oriented software development,
- HTML/web development,
- Systems analysis and design, and
- Technical platforms (e.g., CRM, SCM, ERP) and infrastructure.
Develops course materials for delivery, primarily in the traditional classroom setting and in various other modalities, as needed, including online and hybrid formats. Evaluates student performance per department and College guidelines.Maintains office hours and is available to students as required by the collective bargaining agreement.Advises students on academic and professional matters.Assists with student recruitment and retention efforts.Engages in curriculum development, review, and revision.Serves on department, division, and College committees.Participates in professional development activities.Performs other duties as assigned by the department chair.MCC Expectations:

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Management Information Systems or Business Administration (with significant coursework or experience in MIS) or a technology-related field (with significant business-related coursework or experience) from an accredited institution.Minimum two years of college-level teaching experience.Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral).Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching web-enhanced or fully online courses.Ability to collaborate effectively in team-centered environments.Knowledge of or experience using varied teaching strategies to support student learning.Understanding of the role of technology in instruction.Experience with computerized student record management systems.Proficiency in Spanish or another language.
Additional Information:
Salary: Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity and college budget. This position has a range of $52,000 to $60,000 and is based on these mentioned factors.
MCC offers a Flexible Work Policy for benefit eligible employees. Types of flexible work arrangements include flextime/staggered shifts, remote work/telecommuting and compressed work schedule. The availability of flexible work arrangements varies by division, department, and position, based upon business and operational needs. Limitations to flexible work arrangements are outlined in the official policy.
