About Us:

Halligan Creative Arts Therapy, PLLC is an insurance-based group practice specializing in anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and more through creative arts therapy. We are looking for a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) to join our team in a part-time capacity, with flexible scheduling options, including weekends and select weekday availability in our open office space. HCAT will credential and panel you with insurances  as we are an insurance based group practice. You will be hands off on all billing and insurance aspects, as our office admin takes care of that for you!

Option for Saturday and/or Sundays, plus the opportunity for Monday and Fridays in our open office space. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual Creative Arts Therapy sessions and primary mental health diagnoses like Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, mood disorders, etc. 
  • Maintain strong documentation skills  and timely completion and submission of notes using our practice management software to ensure compliance with insurance and practice requirements
  • Manage a caseload of at least 8-10 clients 
  • Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches tailored to each client’s needs
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy
  • New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) (Required – No pre-licensed individuals)
  • Experience working with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders preferred

Experience with assessment and diagnosis for insurance billing 

  • Must be willing to work with children, ages 5+, teens and adults, experience collaborating with parents on client treatment goals

Experience treating trauma and trauma informed care

Experience and comfort working with LGTBQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. 

  • Strong ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Ability to work independently as most other staff do not work weekends. Weekend hours are highly requested for kids and teens at this time.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base rate: $45 per session, with additional rates for different services 
  • Option for 401(k) plan

Group supervision provided monthly for therapists as well as opportunities to meet 1:1 for supervision

All art materials included, no need to supply your own.
