GENERAL PURPOSE:
Overview:
University Advancement is seeking an Assistant Director, Campaign Operations to play a key role in supporting the University of Rochester's new comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign. Reporting to the Executive Director of Campaign Management and Special Initiatives, this role will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the campaign, focusing on internal operations, coordination, and volunteer management. The Assistant Director will work across multiple teams within University Advancement and across the University of Rochester to drive campaign-related initiatives and activities.
The Campaign:
The year 2025 marks a momentous occasion for the University of Rochester: the 175th anniversary of its founding. Along with this milestone, we will launch the public phase of a comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign to support the University's new strategic plan, Boundless Possibility. We are currently in the quiet phase of the campaign and intend to complete the campaign in 2030-2031.
Campaigns bring exciting energy to the entire University community and help align the institution in support of key priorities. With a new strategic plan and functioning as "One University" we will work to generate the enthusiasm and investment needed to support our faculty and students, our research enterprise, our clinical and academic programs, our campus improvements, and much more. Rochester's last comprehensive campaign, The Meliora Challenge, concluded in 2016, having raised $1.37 billion, these critical funds served as a catalyst for change, propelling the University forward.
It is an exciting time to be at the University of Rochester, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a campaign that will support the University's mission to make the world ever better.
