TITLE: Finance & Operations Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Finance & Administration

The Finance & Operations Coordinator plays an important role on our diverse team, supporting work that fosters positive change within nonprofit organizations and the community. The Finance & Operations Coordinator will collaborate with Causewave staff, nonprofit partners, and outside resources to accomplish shared goals. The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to make a real difference in the community by applying their experience on behalf of a dynamic, growing organization.

What we’re looking for in a Finance & Operations Coordinator:

The Finance & Operations Coordinator should have experience with and ability to:

Finance responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Finance & Administration in the execution of the organization’s accounting policies, procedures, and internal control  activities

  • Receive and process payments to the organization

  • Assist in performing monthly close procedures

Operations/Office management responsibilities:

  • Be the glue that bonds the Causewave team together.

  • Work closely with the entire Causewave team, to keep everyone well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities on internal projects, following up appropriately for maximum organizational efficiency

  • Partner with the Director of Finance on teambuilding and human resources activities

  • Manage contracts and invoices with vendors

  • Manage inventories of office supplies and equipment; prepare and submit orders for purchase.

  • Coordinate onboarding and training process for new employees

  • Participate as needed on internal projects. Learn and leverage multiple online systems and tools to support the mission work as needed

Preferred experience for the role:?

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience (internships count)

  • Financial acumen - comfortable with spreadsheets and numbers

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Strong desire to make the world a better place ?

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience
