Position Summary:

The Director, Safety and Security is a senior safety and security executive within an RHH affiliate organization and accountable for all aspects of the applicable RRH affiliate’s security program, developing and directing the organization’s safety and security strategy, and overseeing implementation of the effort to minimize loss, enhance security, and create business opportunity through the control of risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assesses organizational security risk and business operations to formulate a strategic security strategy to promote business development, reduce risks, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of physical and personal risk.
  • Accountable for the applicable RRH affiliate’s Environmental Health and Safety controls, systems, processes and programs. Includes the direction, oversight, development, management, supervision, coordination, implementation and strategic leadership of all facets of an Environment of Care management program. This includes safety, occupational health and environmental policies as well as safety oversight of risk and hazard assessment, data/trend analysis and field inspections to ensure compliance with policies, federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Identifies and analyzes safety and security-related risks to the organization and makes recommendations to the appropriate applicable RRH affiliate’s senior leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required within 36 months of employment.
  • Demonstration of continuing security management education or relevant professional security certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience appropriate for the knowledge and skills demanded by the position (e.g., armed forces security, military police, law enforcement, or private security).
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership capacity.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

  • Must be OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer.
  • Certified trainer for CPI’s Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention Program or (equivalent).
  • Be eligible for Coordinator Status in the NYSDOH Health Commerce System (HCS)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00

Salary115,000.00 - 135,000.00 Annual
