Compensation Range:

$51,810.00 - $72,534.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE
Develops and occasionally delivers online and instructor-led training to meet workforce education needs at the University of Rochester. Collaborates with subject matter experts to define instructional, learning or performance objectives. Assesses effectiveness and efficiency of instruction. Adapts and structures instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Concurrently designs and develops multiple interactive online modules. Ensures the use of instructional design best practices and adherence to quality standards. Develops instructional materials for technology-based redesign of courses, handouts, or examinations. Designs learning products, including web-based aids or electronic performance support tools, and instructional aids for instructor-led classroom or online use. Uploads completed training modules and educational materials to learning management system. Adapts and structures instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to define instructional, learning, or performance objectives.
  • Interviews subject matter experts or conduct other research to develop instructional content.
  • Assesses effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use, student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction. Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions. Analyzes performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional systems, courses, or instructional materials.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning theories. Researches and evaluates emerging instructional technologies or methods.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
