Position Summary

The SAP Product Line Lead is responsible to manage multiple teams and product managers to design, build (develop/configure/test) and deliver system solutions within their business unit, setting the vision for the product, and developing the Technology roadmap for achieving it. Defining high level features that are key to the Product's success to ensure they deliver the expected business value.

The SAP Product Line Lead works with a wide variety of internal stakeholders — including Global Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and IT teams — in the full range of the product development cycle. You will leverage your extensive industry, technical and functional experience to design and implement complex technical solutions and support the evolution of applications by leading internal Product and partners teams to deliver solutions with focus on global trends, innovation and leading practices that generates efficiencies and business value aligned with strategic corporate goals.

The SAP Product Line Lead will own the strategy for SAP management accounting both domestic and international, and delivery of SAP solutions coordinating with multiple Product Managers across the board. This position requires considerable resourcefulness and the ability to influence IT and business leadership to adopt leading practices.

Responsibilities

  • IT functional architect for your product – Design, build and deliver technical solution aligned with Product technology evolution roadmap
  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the IT product roadmap by working closely with business stakeholders, evaluating user feedback/needs and looking at technology trends
  • Source additional insight and best practice to design, plan, and scope optimal product functionality
  • Build the strategy and vision for SAP Management Accounting Product Line that will enable the tools that will improve business efficiencies.
  • Product Line Leads should have the presence to present their ideas with supporting data to align the technical team, leadership, and stakeholders to the same compelling vision for your product's success.
  • Work closely with relevant business functions to develop/test new ideas and propositions for product development influence and obtain buy-in
  • Proactively and continuously identify business value in alignment with strategic priorities, financial benefits, and stakeholder needs.
  • Articulate the value of the product through usage, standard/automated operational metrics, and financial performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain Technology product strategy and vision
  • Translate product strategy into a product roadmap, identifying and generating innovative ideas that drive business value and improve user’s experience.
  • Work closely with other IT Architects and development teams to understand the technology enablers/constraints for new product ideas.
  • Ensure strong ability to communicate priorities, developments, and changes to stakeholders across the business, understanding the audience and appropriately delivering the message.
  • Engage with other software technologies and vendors to understand the new capabilities and functionality for potential enhancements.
  • Build funding model/business case for new product development
  • Collect and analyze data to drive innovation and decision making
  • Work closely with the Product Owners to ensure they have a good understanding of the new features/epics allowing them to develop user stories that will deliver what is needed
  • Support the Product Owners in prioritizing the product backlog for development
  • Act as an IT subject matter expert for development teams providing additional product insight as needed/requested by the Product Owners
  • Work collaboratively with other Product Line leads and Product Managers to refine and prioritize the overall product roadmap and identify dependencies
  • Set goals for product outcomes and metrics, then closely track your solutions to ensure they are achieving the expected results
  • Bring industry knowledge, look ahead and determine what we should be considering implementing to better serve your stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills and acting as an advocate of the Product Management team both externally and internally
  • Communicate critical business-impacting incidents to leaders in a timely manner and ensure they are communicated in business language; provide cross-functional team coordination to remediate critical issues and ensure ongoing status is communicated and contingency options that best support the business are provided
  • Ensure effective leadership and management of the team and individuals; maintaining a continuous learning environment, setting clear objectives to ensure there is clarity on what needs to be achieved for any given initiative
  • Work with HR to develop upskilling/training opportunities to build and maintain a high level of skills proficiency in the team
  • Offer a supportive coaching style, proactively encouraging personal and professional development and achievement in direct reports
  • Build an effective and motivational team environment, aligning behaviors, values and performance expectations across the team to deliver exceptional results
  • Ability to function as a communication bridge and work culture, between user located in Mexico, USA, Italy, and New Zealand

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years in a corporate IT environment working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with Business strategic goals
  • Proven delivery excellence in successfully managing multiple large complex projects globally.
  • Minimum of 12 years technology experience in Finance areas delivering of SAP IT solutions
  • 10+ years technical configuration of SAP Financial systems (S/4 HANA on-Prem and Cloud) experience
  • Expert knowledge/experience developing system solution on SAP Finance, Controlling, Material Ledger, Product Costing, Logistics (US, MX, IT, NZ)
  • Proven experience developing solutions for accounting and legal requirements including USGAAP, MexicoGAAP, IMMEX (Mexico Foreign Trade regulations with USA)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and in writing; willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to think quickly; ability to communicate effectively with various types of stakeholders up to executive levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food and Beverage Industry knowledge/experience
  • SAP Finance Certification
  • SAP S/4 HANA on-Prem and Cloud Expert level
  • Project Management / Agile experience
  • Working knowledge of Jira

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.

The salary range for this role is:

$113,200.00 - $241,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
