Job Summary:
The REOC is currently accepting applications for a Director of Budget and Administrative Services. The person in this role is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s budget development, financial planning, and administrative operations. This leadership role ensures the efficient management of financial resources and administrative functions while providing strategic guidance to senior leadership. The Director works closely with department heads to create budget forecasts, monitor expenditures, and drive process improvements in administrative services. This position supervises the Assistant for Business Affairs, the Maintenance Department Supervisor, the HR and Procurement Liaison , the Welcome Center Receptionist, the Special Projects Coordinator, and the Perkins Grant Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university or internationally recognized accrediting organization by the time of appointment.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in budget management, financial planning, and administrative operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
o Expertise in financial analysis and budget forecasting.
o Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
o Proven leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
o Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
o Proficiency in Microsoft, Excel, Word, Banner, Argos.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- Experience with grant writing and grant management.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in event planning.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Managerial experience in related fields (i.e., HVAC, mechanical and electrical areas, fire code and safety issues and maintenance, security contract management).
Work Schedule:
4 days/week 8-4 pm; 1 day/week 11am-7pm
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary for this position is $93,251.
