Studco Building Systems is looking for a Production Supervisor for its EZ Concept brand.  EZ Concept is a line of high end, modern, architectural finishes. Manufactured by Studco Building Systems®, EZ Concept® are the innovators of the world renowned EzyJamb® door jamb systems, offering an expanding range of trim-free architectural finishing products to create modern interiors for residential, industrial and commercial spaces.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership support to the Production Team which includes 8-10 team members.  A comprehensive understanding of the product range will also be required to assist in providing quality control in manufacturing. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the team while also working cohesively with Sales, Planning and Shipping in view of ensuring orders are completed, loaded and delivered on time.

*This position will work fully onsite M-F (7 AM - 3 PM) at our Webster, NY location. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 8-10 process workers
  • Provide Leadership to process team workers and ensure they are completing scheduled work daily.
  • Carry out the plan that is made by the Planning/ Scheduling team. The main goal is to get all orders completed on time and ready for shipping.
  • Manage delays, issues and production setbacks and communicate accordingly to production planner any concerns that may impact scheduled ship dates
  • Transmit positive team building energy to the production floor to achieve maximum outputs.
  • Work closely with Maintenance to ensure that all equipment is in excellent condition.
  • Run daily morning huddles to ensure all team members are clear of daily workload and expectations.
  • Provide consistent and constructive feedback to process workers to ensure an environment of continued growth and improved efficiency.
  • Manage workload and adjust staffing needs accordingly.
  • Conduct interviews for new staff in conjunction with HR to ensure a high performing team is maintained
  • Train and onboard new staff
  • Complete bi-annual performance assessments of all staff
  • Oversee safety procedures and make sure they are adhered to.
  • Build a culture of respect for company property and equipment.
  • Provide Reporting to the floor to keep up positive momentum.
  • Understand and maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities, especially relating to manufacturing details and customer/ supplier details. Insure employees are doing the same.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Operations Manager
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years related previous experience managing/supervising people

  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic understanding of the construction industry
    • Experience in the mill work industry is a plus!
