POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. This role involves collaborating with various teams including outside sales, tool designers, and manufacturing and shipping departments to deliver gear cutting tool solutions that meet our customers’ needs. Day-to-day activities include order entry and management, quote development and customer follow up. Success in this role is helping to identify new opportunities for business expansion, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyze customer part prints/data & create specifications for the proper cutting tools to produce the part, often with assistance from co-workers.
- Identify situations which may require special pricing considerations or marketing opportunities and notify/ask supervisor for direction.
- Answer customer questions, handle special requests and resolve complaints promptly, in a pleasant manner, with assistance from others.
- Recommend materials & coatings to customers for specific applications and be able to explain the reasons for the recommendation, with frequent assistance from others.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; engineering or technical education is preferred
Previous experience in customer service or sales for a manufacturing organization is required
Experience working with blue prints is preferred.
Competent in Word & Excel with swift accurate keyboarding skills required.
Demonstrates ability to learn how to successfully use Company intranet including navigating the Quality System, CIT system, SAP and Docuware
Practice and follow the GBP and be knowledgeable in ISO 9001 & 14001. Employee is required to learn, understand and practice Lean Manufacturing principles within our facility.
