$23.51 - $30.16The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Works as part of an interdisciplinary team and assigned a NYS licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist clinical supervisor who provides guidance to satisfy requirements for both licensure and completion of the ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CFY).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Completes the evaluation/assessment of multiple acquired conditions that impact communication abilities. Designs and implements an appropriate plan of care for treatment and revisions to meet a patient’s individual needs.
- Provides rehabilitative services to a wide range of acquired impairments in the areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
- Prepares clinical reports and departmental paperwork as required.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited training institution required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to operate standard office machines and office computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) required
- Ability to learn computer programs related to electronic medical records and charge capture/schedule systems required
- Basic operating knowledge of standard diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures and related test equipment/materials used in Speech Pathology required
- Ability to pass required mandatory in-service and staff competency training, which may include FIM administration required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- NYS interim licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, or proven eligibility for licensure upon hire required
