Purpose:
The Commercial Credit Services Manager is responsible for the development, training, and daily management of the credit analysis function. This role involves assessing the financial health of businesses, ensuring that loans are structured appropriately and monitoring the performance of the loan portfolio. This role works closely with the lending team to support the bank’s growth objectives while maintaining sound credit practices.

Essential Functions:
- Provides management and direction for the Credit Analysts and Credit Administration professionals; monitors performance and provides ongoing training and coaching for development of skills in analyzing the financial condition of current and prospective customers resulting in the preparation of high-quality credit approval summary (CAS) documents. Responsible for timely completion of performance evaluations of assigned staff. Assists with hiring and training of new Commercial Credit Department Staff.
- Supervises daily function of credit department including working with C&I and CRE Senior Analysts in assignment of CAS Reviews and New Money transactions.
- Responsible for Management of ADP and Budget preparations included review of invoices in AVID/Ascend.
- Continues to perform as a Senior Credit Analyst.
- Maintains a keen awareness of the credit portfolio for potential risks to the bank and taking ownership to escalate such risks in a responsible and timely manner.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of changing legislative, regulatory and competitive climate, and in conjunction with the Chief Credit Officer, initiates appropriate changes to the Bank’s credit policies and procedures updating the affected manuals as needed. Ensures that the Bank’s current lending activities are in accordance with FSB policies, procedures, and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines. Responsible for training and communicating this information to the credit staff and ensuring that staff complete compliance courses within established guidelines.
- Coordination of weekly updated ELC Backlog with C&I and CRE Executives.
- Back up ELC Secretary on meeting notices, recording of ELC meeting minutes and E Votes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance or related field
- 8+ years in-depth knowledge of credit analysis, banking laws and regulations/regulatory requirements; and prior experience in management and supervisory capacity in bank credit administration
Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis and lending practices.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, management, communication (both written and oral), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented individual with strong sense of urgency.
- Strong financial analysis skills including the ability to read and understand company financial statements.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Educated on compliance with all relevant banking regulations, including those related to lending practices and credit risk management.
