Compensation Range:

$24.91 - $34.87

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Participates in and contributes to the marketing and campaign planning process on assigned lines of business and assists in the implementation of tactical elements of marketing strategies, plans and campaigns as assigned. Develops briefing documents for individual projects and tasks and briefs the creative and communications teams and/or external agencies/vendors on creative, design, media direction, schedule, and specification requirements. Tracks and reports on the progress of projects in terms of timing, approvals and alignment with budgets and/or estimates and ensures that proofreading and general quality control is implemented on every assigned project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Implementation

  • Carries out assigned tasks of moderate complexity and assists and supports project and task implementation.
  • Employs project management techniques to ensure completion of projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Scopes and analyzes project requirements and develops cost estimates.
  • Assists and participates in the process of idea and concept development with external and/or internal design and/or production firms.
  • Researches and secures mailing lists for digital/e-mail campaigns and manages distribution using internal or external resources such as the internal mail house and outside media agencies.
  • Coordinates the submission of advertisements to media outlets as outlined in media strategy.
  • Supports the planning and organization of open houses, consumer and/or physician events, health fairs, and other community outreach activities. Attends to the details of special event implementation such as mailing lists, name tags, seating arrangements, AV support and follow up e-mail/outreach.
  • Uses spreadsheets and internal cost tracking software to track and report on activities and expenditures to the Marketing Strategy team.

Tactical Element Production Coordination

  • Assists Marketing Strategy team with production of printed material including engaging approved vendors, describing project requirements, providing specifications, reviewing pre-production proofs and troubleshooting any issues or design modifications required for project completion.
  • Works directly with vendors to achieve timely, cost-effective outcomes; reviews and authorizes proof sheets, or circulates for approval, depending on the project.

Digital Advertising Program Coordination

  • With oversight, implements digital advertising tactics including short copywriting for social media platforms and Google AdWords, and video or image selection from existing creative assets.
  • Maintains and updates digital advertising programs by evaluating moderately advanced metrics of digital ad performance (clicks, video views, other conversions) and refining digital ad copy and image/video selections.
  • Reports on digital program results regularly and as required.

Project Quality Control

  • Drafts, edits, and proofreads copy for a range of moderately complex projects including but not limited to: new provider announcements, clinic posters, direct mail letters, invitations, brochure copy, print and digital advertisements, new website content and Power Point decks.

Professional Development

  • Pursues professional development by enrolling in internal or external ongoing professional education and attending appropriate local and national conferences. Stays abreast of current trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience required;
  • Experience in marketing communications preferred;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to manage HIPAA consent authorization process for stories involving a patient’s personal health information required;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing content based on target audience, with ability to provide context and/or reshape material as needed in a fast-paced, high-demand environment required;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills required;
  • Comfortable communicating to all levels of faculty/staff, and in front of groups required;
  • Experience in creating and implementing communications tactics preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in brief and plan document and PowerPoint writing preferred;
  • Strong organization and project management skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with supervision required;
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team required;
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics, PowerPoint presentations and/or graphic design preferred.
