Compensation Range:

$96,860.00 - $145,290.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of specific information systems and services. Oversees the design and installation of the systems and directs the operation and maintenance. Responsible for the planning, budgeting, rates, staff development and supervision as appropriate.Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE: Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the core data development team in Enterprise Data / Analytics. Oversees the design and installation of the systems. Responsible for the planning, scoping, staff development and supervision as appropriate. Manager, IT in Data Management Development demonstrates knowledge of Data SDLC, Dev/Ops processes, ITIL 4 principles, Big Data, Data Virtualization, and SQL Server Technology as part of Enterprise Data / Analytics. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the oversight of specific information systems and services in support of business continuity and day to day operations. Manages administrative responsibilities related to specific information systems and services. Employs technical and administrative expertise in the development of specifications for information systems and services in support of University of Rochester objectives. Analyzes operational aspects of assigned areas and prepares activity/progress reports and recommendations for improvements. Organizes, directs and supervises activities for assigned areas of responsibility. Hires and manages all aspects of performance and initiates personnel actions. Plans and implements staff training programs. Assists in the diagnosis and remediation of technology incidents including hardware, software, systems and information security problems. Collaborates with, and advises, user departments with regard to feasibility of systems and procedures. With leadership, maintains responsibility for the 24 hour a day, uninterrupted operation of the University information systems and services. Keeps abreast of trends and technical developments in the field by self-study, participating in job-related seminars, courses, or conferences, and liaison with vendors. May represent the University in organizations and initiatives at the local, state, and national level as appropriate. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor+s degree required 5 years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience required Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) required. Understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) required. Knowledge of data warehouse design, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) required. Proficiency in languages commonly used in data development, such as SQL, Python, R, and Java required. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and reporting systems preferred. Understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) preferred. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their growth and development required. Strong problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and issues required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders required. Ability to lead and manage a team of data professionals, providing direction and support required. Skill in planning, executing, and monitoring data development projects to ensure timely delivery required. Epic Caboodle Developer Certification within 1 year of hire required.
