Responsibilities
In alignment with the mission, vision, and goals of the medical center, the Senior Nurse Manager assists the Director of Operations for Cardiology, the Director of Nursing for Cardiac Care, and the medical director(s) in oversight of organizational throughput, implementation of key initiatives to support growth and expansion of services, financial oversight of operations, and human resource management. Works collaboratively with procedural and holding area leadership on day to day operations, including but not limited to: coaching and developing nursing leaders in issues of problem solving, staffing efficiencies and staff management; ensuring prompt investigation and resolution of all events, problems or issues; work with key stakeholders to ensure that each area is measuring and evaluating items that reflect outcomes of care quality; monitors feedback reports and satisfaction surveys for all areas on a continuous basis and develops action plans to address areas of persistent problems; ensures adoption of best practices in all areas. Additionally, the Senior Nurse Manager will aid in the evaluation of operational objectives, support the Medical Center and Cardiology leadership in the strategic plan and evaluation of outcomes, and participates in the dissemination of evidence-based information.Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership/management experience preferred, national certification with appropriate organization preferred. Masters degree preferred.
Qualifications
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $49.96- $66.00
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the jobs salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
