Summer Associate

Position Title: 2025 Summer Associate Program

Department: Department/Area of Responsibility Varies

Purpose: Five Star Bank understands that people are at the heart of its success and as such, its full-time paid summer associate program is designed to identify and develop the next generation of financial services professionals. We are looking for students with H.E.A.R.T. who embody our core values – humble, empowered, ambitious, resilient, and transparent – to help us advance our vision of being an independent, high-performing community bank offering bold and innovative products to the markets we serve.

Our summer associates will begin in June, the program extends through 10-12 weeks, providing participants with real work experience and one-on-one mentorship, culminating in a capstone project and presentation to our executive leadership team. Opportunities may be available to be extended past summer or with full time employment offers. Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:

Required:

• Candidates must be available to work a hybrid work model, 40 hours per week for the duration of the 2025 program starting in June.
• Occasional travel within corporate footprint (Buffalo, Warsaw and Rochester) will also be required.
• At least 1 year in one or more club(s), volunteerism efforts, or other activities outside of the classroom

Education:

• Currently enrolled as a full time or part time student pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree at an accredited college or university.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.

4. Able to travel:
   1. Occasionally within corporate footprint
5. Extensive computer usage is required.

The expected rate of pay for this position is shown above. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to your base rate of pay and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive cash or equity-based incentives based on the role and performance.
