***This position location is flexible to work at our Corporate Headquarters office in Ithaca, NY, or Amherst, NY or Batavia, NY, Brewster, NY or Wyomissing, PA. Selected candidate must be able to work in the office three (3) days a week.***
The AML/CFT Onboarding Coordinator leads the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program onboarding process and assists in ensuring the Bank’s compliance with AML laws and regulations. The Onboarding Coordinator supports the Assistant AML Officer to manage the Bank’s Customer Information Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) onboarding processes. The AML Onboarding Coordinator must be knowledgeable with Bank branch operations and CIP, CDD, BOI, and OFAC operations and requirements and be able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Bank’s account onboarding procedures and processes for CIP, CDD, BOI, and OFAC.
- Assist in the identification of high-risk customers, the appropriate CDD, and recommendation for high-risk customer monitoring.
- Assist in resolving alerts from recently onboarded customers.
- Lead initiatives for onboarding procedures, process, and control improvements
- Help support 314(a), 314(b), and OFAC procedures, processes, and controls as well as assisting with responding to law enforcement requests.
- Support the Assistant AML Officer to ensure completion of team assignments
- Work with the AML team to ensure compliance with auditor and examiner requests.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, first-line business units, and other AML personnel.
- Create and present materials to various Bank stakeholders at various levels.
- Assist in the implementation of Verafin software as it pertains to onboarding parameters, workflows, testing, procedures, and other activities
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ related experience. Experience working with automated systems to detect and report suspicious activities
- Professional certification relating to AML/CFT compliance from a recognized professional organization preferred
- Understanding of banking transactions and federal regulations as well as the implications on complying with all laws and regulations relating to money laundering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient use of technology and software applications including Microsoft Office. Experience with Jack Henry’s suite of products and Verafin is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations is preferred

Pay Range
